The Gene Haas Foundation has awarded St. Cloud State Universityโs Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MFET) program $18K for student scholarships.
The Foundation provides resources for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine technology students to conduct research and build skills in the manufacturing industry.

โThis scholarship will directly benefit every student in the program by supporting their academic success and helping them prepare for in-demand careers in manufacturing and engineering,โ said Jungwon Ahn, MFET associate professor and program director, who was named an Outstanding Educator in 2025.
The MFET program emphasizes hands-on learning and industry-relevant, practical experiences, continuously evolving to address emerging technologies and workforce needs, including the integration of a collaborative robot and other advanced equipment.
The program has recently established articulation agreements with two-year schools in Minnesota State, including Alexandria Technical & Community College and Hennepin Technical College, and this grant will further support efforts to prepare students for successful careers in engineering and manufacturing.
